Today we received our latest ratings from ISO (Insurance Services Office), these ratings play a role in how much our residents pay for property insurance for their home or business. They rate fire departments from 1 to 10, with 1 being the best.We received a classification of 4 for properties within 5 road miles of a recognized fire station and 1000 feet or less from a fire hydrant (we were previously a 5).We received a classification of 5 for properties within 5 road miles of a recognized fire station and greater than 1000 feet from a fire hydrant (we were previously a 6).Any property greater than 5 road miles from a recognized fire station automatically receives a designation of 10.So, if you're due to renew your homeowner's insurance, make sure your agent is aware of this update, it could save you some money! ...
